Just bought a coralife 24 gpd ro unit. It seems to be making too much water, after only 15 hours my 32 gal garbage can was overflowing. I double checked everything, and it still seems to be coming out too fast. Any ideas ?
I checked that and according to the directions it has to be right. It seems odd though, that the waste water seems to be coming out about the same as the good.Upgrading to a 90 and want to be sure i start with good water.water tested o.k.
if that's not it I dont know
usually they're rated at a high effeciency, meaning a 24 gpd will usually make less than 24
I have a 100 and it makes allot of waste water

going to go with the group. you have a hose reversed, OR your unit is not put together correctly. the first time I did it I reversed the hoses and got the same results.
This is unbelievable ! After going over the directions several times I found that thetwo pictures show totaly opposite things ! They switch the waste line and ro line coming out of the canister ! The way it was sent seems to be backwards. I switched the lines and it seems to be right now. So you guys were right. I had to dump the old water witch allready had salt and temp up.Now I have to wait. THANKS !

ah... we do such silly things..
by the way, if you water pressure is high enough you can double the output and cut the waste in half by buying a second RO membrane unit and piping the waste through that. The second unit will cost you about $50
This is so silly. Im a plumber, if the reverse is wrong, why is the water pouring out of the pure line and just trickling out of the waste. when I reverse it , it makes water too fast, and the membrane is all the way in !
switched it back. still seems too quick. had to tighten 90's coming out of unit, I heard a hiss, like it was sucking air. Whatever comes out , Im using, my water is pretty good anyway.
