the red line on mine has water pour out the whole time water is turned on the blue line has water drip out. so are you saying the red line (waste Water) shouldnt have water coming out of it the whole time?

Ok, there are three lines, yes? One for water input and two for water output. The output lines are for RO water and waste water. The RO water line is what you collect, the waste water line is what you let drain. Yes, while you are making RO water the waste water line will always be producing water. In fact, it should product about 4 to 5 times as much water as the RO water line. If you have the water turned off and are not making RO water, and your waste water line is still going, you've got a problem somewhere.

Put the it in the drain.I wouldnt worry about the waste water. This is called Concerate. The good water is called permeate. Fisrt off does your system have an auto shutoff valve. when not making RO does it shut off the water. There alot that do and some that dont. what brand of unit is it. If you are using a unit with a acumulator? just some more thing to throw out there. And the systems I have worked on in the past. 1/3 of the water is waste water. But these were larger units with higher pressures.
