I posted this question in another thread but i figured I would ask you all as well. I was wondering if starefish are safe in a fowlr. We really like starefish but are worried they may get picked on by some fish. We do have hiding places for them but if they cant come out to eat without getting eaten that wouldnt be good. And what do they eat? I know some eat alge but is that all? We kind of prefur the sephant star's but they seem like they would be the best target for getting nipped to death. Have any of you had any luck with them? Fish list is maroon clown, tazmanian and black and white damzel, coral beauty angel, lyretail anthia's, sailfin tang, and fuzzy dwarf lion. Maybe one or two more fish down the line.

The tang prolly will and maybe the lionfish but the others shouldn't. If you don't have corals you could always go with a chocolate chip star. There are FOWLR friendly starfish but you can't have any invert eating fish like puffers

No puffers for us. lol. I was in a lfs and saw one eat an adult blenny whole so they are out. We like blenny's and one day would like to aquire one. lol. Should we add it while our others are all younge . I'm a little worried that the tank doesn't have enough natural food for it yet. There is algea in the tank but there are so many types of elgea I dont know if what it eats is established yet. So far i only see the golden colored and green. If not then what would i feed one. There was an almost adult serphant stare at the lfs. I was very tempted but hadn't read my responses from this sight yet so didnt get it. Will it starve? And do their arms regenerate?
