Do you guys get tired of cleaning you glass every few days. I know i do. I am thinking of putting rainx on the outside. What do you think. I can't think of anything bad coming from this

i would never put anything on or around my tank that i could not put in it! think of it this way,would you pour rain x in your tank? i know i wouldn't.

As a newbie I lost an entire tank of FW fish just by laying a brand new Ocelo sponge on top of the lid to soak up a little bit of overflow after a water change.
Something in the sponge was obviously toxic and just the tiny bit of water that ran back into the tank from the sponge killed everything.
That said, I would never use RainX or even ammonia to clean the glass of my tank. Vinegar and water only.
