Ok i was wondering if this fish would go well with an Orchid Dottyback and 2 true perculas ? I have a 24 gal aquapod. Or should that be it on fish in that tank ? I also have a 10 gallon setup but there are no fish in that tank. Thanks for input. I would like to have another goby in my aquapod since my twin spots didnt work out..

the goby should be ok with that stocklist and not pose a problem with the bioload either (assuming you have adequate filtration and cleanup crew)

Ok Thanks alot for the comment. I will be trying to go and purchase him today. They are such cool fish but i have read on so many forums how hard they are to maintain. Thanks alot for the input. Hopefully it goes well with me.

So, after all the research you just wanted one person to say its OK...
IMO its a bad gamble..most likely the Dottyback will harrasse that Goby to death, if not, then yes, Old Glory is a difficult fish to keep long term for most without the proper experiance and " live, established " system.

Nah Dogstar i didnt go with that goby because of the fact it is difficult to feed and such. I instead bought a Black and White False Perc. Its only in my 10 gallon for the moment though but i still would like to buy a goby that will do a little sifting of the sand in my Aquapod. Plus they are neat little creatures to watch. Thanks for the advice Dogstar

Sorry if my earlier post seemed a little harsh, just that was how that quote made me feel at the time....
I think the Clown is a better choice and hopefully there want be much aggession from the Dottyback if you put them together.
Most sifting gobies have the same needs and dont fare well in small tanks because of lack of needed amounts of healthy populated sand. Might consider " yourself " as the best sand sifter...no big deal to just stir the surface some when you feel its needed.
So many choices of livestock in this hobby but everyone must be considered closely as far as its needs and chances of a long healthy life as far and as the hobbists ability to provide it...
Good for you for asking and researching and closely considering your choices.....
