Trying to raise some brine shrimp for my seahorses in my 110gal reef. After they hatch what do the brine shrimp eat so I can get some size to them? Will some of them grow if not eaten after they are in my main tank? thanks terry tbmoore@cableone.net tbmoore@cableone.net

one thing that i noticed is that you have to replace most about 1/2 of the water in the tank you are keeping them in every other day of the brine shrimp will die in their own filth.

I have successfully raised brine shrimps to adulthood, They were gorged with eggs when I fed them to my fishes. I fed them yeast, yes, baker's yeast. You dissolve a pinch in lukewarm water and pour it in your nauplii (brine shrimps), you will notice the water getting cloudy but this will not last long, after a day, the water will clear up...the yeast are already consumed by the shrimps. they grow pretty fast. Remember to keep your salinity high and keep water briskly bubbling by using air pump. Don't worry, they won't get dizzy. :D

I raised them before and just recently thought about doing it again. I put them in a plastic bucket near my window. Put an airstone in the water and temperature was pretty warm. Fed them flake food that I smashed up pretty good (like a powder). I sucked out the empty egg casings and changed 1/2 the water about every 3 or 4 days. They raised really easy and the fish loved it.
