rainsoft water systems

we are adding a rainsoft water system to our home, is this water ok to use in the fish tank?:happyfish

Me know not what a rainsoft water system is. If it close to RO then i would say okee dokee. Give us more info on exactly what it does to the water and we can help.

well, rainsoft removes all of the impurities out of the water it is a whole house unit, i can add an RO unit to it but i cant afford it at this time. the guy that tested the water told me it takes EVERYTHING out of the water, trites, trates, ph, calc etc... so i think it would be fine because i am planning a kalk drip to the tank.
did you ever have a kirby guy over and show you the gunk in your carpet? well if you get a rainsoft guy over to show you the gunk in you water you will be sold, its nasty especially in fla & louisanna. he says NYC has he best water in the country. oh and we get zephyr hills spring water & he tested that and it was really nasty too:scared:

Im not sure but i would say a big no until you get a r/o unit what you are getting is a softener not the same as r/o

I think he's just selling a water pureifier, "charcoal and silver" and softens the water too.
They make good drinking water.
But I can't see it, so I can't be certain.

yes it is a softener, but it also purifys the water by taking all the chemicals out of the water. i will run a test on the water for ph, trate, trite, amo, ph & calc before i use it

I know I'm being a little silly, but here is a list on some of the chemicals we are now drinking. R/O removes most of them. Ask the salesaman to do tests for these after he puirifies your water:

no, your not being silly! and after i saw the test he did last night,

now that made me not want to drink water anymore, he even tested the zephyr hills spring water and that was nasty too!!
thanks for all you effort, i will see if i can get answers to that stuff too, but i am sure it is all in most water we drink.

no wonder there is so much clogging of the arteries, eat the steak and skip the water!!:nervous:
