Raised red bump on fin

I have had a green chromis for about 1 - 2 months now, and just the other day he formed this red bump on one of his front fins. The fin is useless now. But, he is eating good and the loss of the fin has not slowed him down at all. None of my other fish have this. And I have not introduced anything new lately. So, if anyone can help figure out what this might be, I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks, Jo

Is the find next to the gill? If so, take a good look at the gill to see if it is swollen or read. It may be getting a bacterial infection, or even gill parasites.

The red lump is right under ther front fin, and the fin is sticking staight up and not moving at all. I just noticed another small spot on it's side, almost right behind the other, but not as big or as red in color. I bought these green chromis as a pair. The other one died within hours. I also bought an anthias from the same store and by morning, it was gone. All my other fish are fine.
I don't know what to think. But, thank you for all your help with this.

Can you move them to a hospital tank? There's no real way to treat them unless they are out of the main tank.

Thank you for your help and advice. Sorry it took a while to get back, I have a chronic pain problem and have to stay down a lot. I guess it would be nice to have a lap-top.
Anyway, my cleaner shrimp has eaten whatever it was and the little guy is moving his fin again and the lump is gone. Cleaner shrimp are so cool, the way they work is awesome. If this area swells again, I'll be sure to put him in the hospital.
Thanks again.
