BTW, when you have allowed them to hatch in your main display do they become fish food.
Or do you end up catching them before it comes to that. I have to be honest, if my Bangaii Pair breed again the little buggers are pretty much on their own, I just don't have time to raise another batch right now.

They are usually gone by morning. Predators, pumps, and sumps...

Wow. This makes me want to yell out my maited pair of maroon clownfish to start laying eggs now! I got them 7 months ago and no eggs. My LFS said that they have laid eggs before. They also said they just had a pair lay eggs and it took them 2 years. Hope it doasont take mine that long. uhhhh....I guess I will have to keep waiting.

absolutely incredible, how often do you do water changes in your rearing tank and what Sg level do you keep the water?

When I do a water change on the rearing tank I always do 50% since the tank is so small. Initially I do 2 water changes a day and drip the new water into the rearing tank. After metamorphasis, 1 a day. After weaned off live food, 2-3 a week. I do not use Sg. I use a refractometer and measure salinity to 35ppt.
