The aqualifter is a small pump that moves water through airline tubing, similar to the soap pumps you see on commercial dishwashers. It works very well in this application.
I actually don't have a pump from the auto top off, it is basically an upside down jug, and when water drops below the opening, is releases some water. It works very well , as long as the overflow is working properly. Otherwise, it's all to easy to flood the tank.
