I just picked up two finnex 500 watt heaters for my new 110 gal. Never used them before but wanted to make sure I got the titanium this time. Have an apex so no controller for the heaters.

I have a 500w and 300w Finnex.....Got the 300w for practically nothing....I've never run them and as I stated they do have mixed reviews as all others, but want to give them a whirl......I thought about not buying the controller, but then something kept nagging me...."what if the Apex goes batty"......
