raw spot on angel's head

hello
so recently i have noticed a spot of raw flesh on my angels head. its just missing skin it looks like.
what should i do?
im not sure what would do this as ge is about the largest fish in the tank and dosent take ne thing from ne one so to speak.
any help would be apprecaited

its probably head and lateral fin erosion. You can read about it in the disease forum. Beth has a whole section on it. The best treatment is to provide a good water conditions and mix its food with garlic.

its not hlle.
is just a round spot inbetween its eyes like it got picked on.. not hlle.. i have seen it b4 so it isnt it.

if it's happened before, you sure you don't have a mantis or a crab that's taking a whack at it? maybe getting stung by a coral or something?

im not sure. would either of those be able to do that?
this is the 2nd time it has happend but the 1st time it went away and now its back. but it looks like almost a patch is gone. it would be really hard to get a pic as my camera sux and he swims fassttt lol
but cor corals i have,,
one type of sps (id im not sure?) candy cane, hariry shrroms., red, metalic shrooms,xenia frogspawn, and some gsp.
i dont have anyshrimp bcs my cleaner passes and my fire died in acclimation so i decided not to do tht anymore. tonight i will listen to clicking sound..

anyt recomendations?

Your issue could be stray electricity in the tank from the heater or a powerhead. I have heard that this causes erotion of the flesh on the fish over time.
Have you replaced your hardware lately? How old is it?

the tank is less ten a year old.. it will be one yar in late decmeber. like the 28th.
is there any way to check the tank ofr voltage?
no other fish in the tank have this erosion problem..

Please post your EXACT water readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, and SG. Either something is attacking your fish or he is rubbing his face on the rocks because something is bothering him.

volt meter: red lead in the water, black lead on something grounded, such as the sc rew on an outlet

well, a volt meter has a red lead and a black lead (they are the thingies with the shiny pointers and the red or black coloring to them)

uhhh.. its all gone now. except for a little lighter p igment where it was...
go figure..

I would still try to find out what is causing it.It could happen again and be worse next time.
