Alright, so now I hope to get some advise/feedback. I put the mh on 2 days ago now. The first day he stayed out all day then hid at night.?. Yesterday, he had still atached under the rocks but stretched all the way up-about 8 inches, so he could get above the rock at the same time. Today, he stayed hidden untill a few hours ago, I guess about 4pm and is now stretched again.. Here are some pics I just took but it is going to be hard to see the base of the stalk. I used more exposure on the shot so the base would be visible under the rock.
So, I know that moving until settling is normal but hiding in the dark and showing in the light?

TY, he split about a week before I got him so I was a bit nervous about moving him at that point. Anyway, the clowns love him..

Yes completely normal. They choose LR to foot deep into so they can retract into a nice cave for security at night. No worries.
Ok, good. Thanks Perfect. I didnt really think about the fact that even although they may take a bit to find a spot to ancore that it might be a underneath and then they can basically stretch when the want the light-not necessarly when I have the light set to come on. Very smart on their part..
