please dont close this thread as i need to tell you guys this.... i appreciate how you guys belive that my thread "so you want to start a marine aquarium" is all copy and pasted from a website with me adding my opinions and taking the credit for the work. I really do appreciate it guys, thanks

I recently have noticed that these forums have become rather hostile between the members for really no reason. Like hot883 said in the thread mentioned above

i would love to know how you came to this conclusion? I had already said that the skimmer part was taken from wikipedia and if you look at the end of the paragraph in that post you can see i said it was from them. That is ALL that i copied and the rest is from me just knowing it.
And ruaround just to let you know i had a 29 and then a 55 BEFORE i wrote this. that journal you saw was for my 75 gallon UPGRADE.
I am not trying to be rude towards you two.... just asking how you came to those conclusions?

Due to the recent things that have been said about me and the recent hostilty of this board i will be leaving salt water fish.com. its not an easy thing for me to do but i feel that some people have judged me and I no longer want to deal with it. Maybe i will be back someday.... but not soon. And mods i beg you not to close this when you see it and please answer the questions i have asked. this will be the last thread i create and the last thread i suscribe to for a while.

aw c'mon man, tho ill admit that things have gotten nasty around the boards its no reason to leave, u just gotta swing w/ it. i saw that u had quoted wikipedia and used their name in it so isnt that technically not plagarizing since he refered to it?

its not just this its just that recently i have been "rubbed the wrong way" by many other members and have been biting my toung. Dont het me wrong i love this board.... i just need a break.

Well it may be that you wrote it parts of it, but then you are trying to force it down peoples throats. This is not the first time you have asked for it to be stickied. You have asked, the answer is no, time to deal with it and move on. There is not much fact in it and much personal opinion. Plus there is a better written thread in the archives.

Although I dont really understand why its such a big deal to have that article stickied... I have also noticed that these boards have started to sway towards the tendencies of the other boards. This is the first forum I have ever been to and everytime I had been to others I couldnt understand why more people didn't come here because the people were so much nicer. Since then however, it seems that a few people are starting to feel that their place here is more important than others. This is extremely annoying in a hobby like this where there are a hundred different ways to do something but yet everybody insists theirs is the best. However ryanhayes, there are also alot of people who just automatically repeat what they hear and read without actually applying their own knowledge and experience which is even worse. If you had the mental capacity at age 6, to setup and maintain a saltwater tank, (something many people try to do their entire lives without success) than I am thoroughly impressed.

i still think most every one is pretty nice and its a warm feeling place to be,somtimes i think when u read something that someone types it could be taken the wrong way.

never make a thread about why another thread was closed.. i did, and honestly when i look back at it was wrong, the mods were right, i ended up making a couple of them angry.. almost got banned, and ended up just looking like an @$$
and why just sticky that?, its alot funner to make a thread, and talk to real people instead of just reading one really long post.
and Team2jndd, i know exactly what you mean.. i just read a thread where somebody said " apparently you don't know who i am so i guess you can disagree with me" and i just felt that was an unneeded comment, and people are startin to get a lil snooty..

I read through that thread and at the end of all the edit stuff he clearly states it's from Wikpedia. Did everyone miss that? I agree it's not thorough or well written enough to be a sticky but don't really grasp all the hostility about plagerism when he has repeatedly admitted and included in the original thread that part is from wikpedia. I agree he should have accepted the mods decision but even reading through his other aquarium thread that's closed, there are a few comments that are rude and unneccessary to the thread.

Biggest problem is you were told that it would not be stickied as the company does not want to clutter up the forum with these type of threads.
Second, it is clearly not your words when there is "edit" on every paragraph.
I am not attacking you. Sorry you are leaving.
