Reading test results

Hi,
As I was testing this am, i read on past how to just read the test...
The directions with the test kit has a chart that says if ammonia is up then you should compare to water temp (damn thing is in celcius) :mad: and to ph levels to get the amount I guess in percemtages of toxic ammonia in the water..
I didnt want to be a marine biologist, I just wanted fish.. LOLOL
Does anyone here, just go by the results in the test tubes and fix accordingly??
Thanking you kindly, Kim

I don't know if my test kit says anything about relating toxic ammonia to temperature and pH. I guess I should actually read the directions. So I guess my answer is I just go by what I initially read from the test tube.
By the way, to convert your Farenheit temp to Celsius use the following equation:
C = (F-32)/1.8
where:
C = temperature in celsius
F = temperature in farenheit
Example: You tank is 80 degree's farenheit. What is that in celsius?
C = (80-32)/1.8
C = 26.7 degree's celsius
Hope this helps;)
