All jokes aside... this is not good and its obvious that Bush did not do a good job at reading Putin.... but we know Putin has been seeking to reestablish Russia as a superpower for sometime now... President Bush tried diplomacy with the Soviets... once they began suspending reforms he backed off.
Obama wants to try diplomacy with Tehran....

oops, I see you were born in 1980. The 80s were scary where the Soviets are concerned. Heck the 60s and 70s were scary concerning the Soviets.
