Real baby stars?

I have had my fish in a quarantine tank for the past 3 weeks. Now I am starting to see all the life that is really in the tank, snails, several different hitchhiker stars. But I just noticed what appears to real baby starfish all over the glass. I’m talking hundreds of them all over, they are about the size of this dot “ . “ have 6 legs and are white. They really look like little spiders all over the glass. I obviously can’t take a picture of them due to their size. Does anybody know what they could be and are they harmful? I have a FOWLR, hermit crabs, miscellaneous hitchhiker stars & snails and a Red Thorny Star that started acting weird as soon as these little critters showed up; and now has what I can only describe as a balled up spider web attached to him. Also there seems to be “spider webs” strung out on the glass (and its not on the outside…I tried to wipe it off). If you need pics I can try but my camera is not the greatest.
Thanks for any info!

It might look like that, really too small to tell. Guess I will go buy a magnifying glass tomorrow and check. But from what I can see with my

eye it’s really close.
What are Hydroid? Are they good?
Thanks!!
