what size of tank is this? any other fish in the tank? its okay for it to go and hide, he/she is probaby just trying to look for a nice place to hide when it's scared/threatened. let it do its own thing, itll come out to eat when its hungry
do you try feeding it when it comes up to you? i know when i had my pair the female loved the attention would just show off then go back when i would move away from the tank
