i want to redo my rock so i have more open area in the back and just have a few questions..
Should i remove my fish?
When removing some of my LR should it be in a bucket of saltwater? will prolly only be out of tank for 20min tops
By doing this im sure it will stir up a little sand, will it cause any harm to my fish and corals? or cause any spikes?
thanks

definitely put the rock into water, you dont want any chance of a mini cycle due to die off when removing it from the water

20 minutes sitting out will not affect anything IMO. I do it all the time when transporting and selling rock.

So IMO the opportunity here is a water change. Take out 20% and put it in a container. Put as much of your live rock and coral into it as possible. Stat the new scape, once all the rock is back in add newly mixed saltwater. Try to keep the stirring of the sandbed to a minimum. I have done this 3 times in 2 years, no problems.

eh. It wouldn't hurt to mix up 20gallons of saltwater in a rubbermaid to get everything done. You might even need it just incase of an emergency.
Unless your tank is extremely mature, and you are stiring up a deep sandbed, you shouldn't have any problems.
I agree with spanko,.. it's a good opportunity for a water change.
