what are the best powrheads can you reccomend for 55gallon reef that are safe.

Most powerheads are the same, I havent noticed any major difference between brands,(at least from a functional point of view) What advice i can give is to make sure you get powerheads with attachments to difuse the water intake so your smaller fish and marine friends dont get sucked into the intake

For the most part it is a personal preference...but I've used maxi-jet 600 & 1200's along with hagen 802's in my 55 reef for close to 18 months now. Both have been virtually trouble free.
