So true!!! Nothing like OJT! When someone asks me to do something to their home, I put out the disclaimer many times before I start. "I'm NOT a contractor. Everything I know is from (pick your project) For Dummies."

Well we did a complete remodel on the outside in 30 days with my father inlaw and myself. New windows, siding, roof, front porch, Back deck 12 feet in the air with a set of 8 ft french doors. It took us about 300 hrs to do it. We both have a construction back ground. It all started when I wanted to put a driveway to my garage. The wife said what would it cost to do windows. I told her if you do that then you have to do siding and the deck and front porch. I never did get to do my driveway. Came in about 500 over my buget. Not to bad for 2 weekend warriors.

OK I took pix of the buffet. I had to use my computer's built-in camera, b/c my digital camera is broken, so the quality is really cr@p, but u can get the general idea i guess. ::sigh:: The 1st pic is the whole buffet, and the 2nd pic is some detail work on the doors.
I really love how this buffet turned out. I can't wait to throw a party in the new diningroom!!
