brittle and serpent stars are hit and miss with regard to eating fish and other stuff....
I woudn't personally do a clown in an 8 gallon.

I've seen some 8's with a clown in it. And I thought a bristle star didn't harm anything, but I did hear a brittle star could eat fish. Idk. I'm new to the "scene"

what exactly is a bristle star?.........
I've seen tangs in a 10gallon... doesn't mean its a good idea, but people do it.

I have a picasso clown in my 8, I plan on putting some sort of goby in there with her too, Im not sure it is permanent, but it should work for a while.
Just make sure and get a tiny clown...

Im sure Rotary can give you a good goby stock list. If you dont get a clown (i opted to get one), you can have alot more fish...

check your levels and do regular water changes, everything should be fine, just requires a little more maintaining
