recieved a death threat via email

i have been keeping tobins email account open to communicate with his friends i havent checked it it almost 2 weeks but i checked just now and he recieved this. i called the police to see what to do about it and this is a mass spam email that our police department has recieved hundreds of calls about it in the last week .i bet tobins up there laughing his butt off about this one
anyone else gotten one yet ?

Someone you call a friend wants you Dead by all means, and the person have spent a lot of money on this, the person also came to us and told me that he want you dead and he provided us with your name ,picture and other necessary information's we needed about you. So I sent my boys to track you down and they have carried out the necessary investigation needed for the operation on you, and they have done that but I told them not to kill you that I will like to contact you and see if your life is Important to you or not since their findings shows that you are innocent.
I called my client back and ask him of you email address which I didn't tell him what I wanted to do with it and he gave it to me and I am using it to contact you now. As I am writing to you now my men are monitoring you and they are telling me everything about you.
Now do you want to LIVE OR DIE? As someone has paid us to kill you. Get back to me now if you are ready to pay some fees to spare your life, $8,000 is all you need to spend You will first of all pay $3,000 then I will send the tape to you and when the tape get to you, you will pay the remaining $5,000. Oh good grief, how incredibly stupid. They don't even speak proper english but expect you to believe they somehow had the brains to pull off a hit, but warn you first, with an email addy he got from the same person who hired him.
sheesh..
I tell you what, if somebody does pay him, he earned it based on the payees stupidity.
YOu ought to reply!! Maybe try to scare them.
"This is the wife of the man you killed", thanks to your email the police will now be able to track you down. He had three children and you took him for no reason! You yourself said he was innocent. WHY did you take my beloved!!
Maybe they'll think they really did get blamed, and the cops are coming for them.

i just filled out the internet crimes complaint form i guess thats about all that can be done i feel really sorry for anyone dumb enough to actually get scared and fall for that one

Tobin recently passed on from a long bout with cancer. Jenny and Tobin were engaged, and she stuck through so much stuff you couldn't imagine.

I almost want to trace the IP and show up there with a dozen buddies or so just for the fun of it.

unfortunately, there are a TON of naive people on the internet. these emails prey upon them, just like those "i'm from africa and i want to send you 50milliondollars" emails.
unfortunately, some people DO believe them :(

well sadly enough the cancer beat this guy to it. but if tobin were healthy he wouldve loved to beat that guy down .that guy is probably scaring little old ladies with that email and totally deserves a good scare

i just read online that allot of those emails are originating from Egypt so sadly don't expect any justice to be handed out.

A guy that I work with received this exact same email, although he was asked to pay $7,000. It was traced to some place in Africa. It shook him up a little at first, probably because he works in the school. He did report it, but we doubt anything will come from it.
