Recomendations For Optimal Reef Tank

Hello! This is my first post here!
About two months ago I up and decided I would like to get into the salt water hobby. I purchased a 12 gallon salt water tank and populated it with a bursa trigger and a leapord puffer. I have now discovered I cannot add anything else besides rock because they will eat it.
I am looking into getting the 24G Nanocube and would like some help picking the perfect reef. If anybody has any spare time, Id like to know what their advice would be. I'm not even sure the nanocube would be best for a reef tank as its not very wide.

IS the Bursa from the 12 gonna be in this reef ? cause they are definatly not reef safe. also a bursa trigger will need alot bigger than a 12 gallon tank.

The bursa trigger IMO should be in at least a 75 gallon tank. And I'm not sure exactly how big for the puffer, but I know it should be in a tank MUCH bigger than 12 gallons.
What kinds of corals do you want to keep?

Thats what I keep hearing about the trigger, I am debating whether or not to sell him back to the fish store. The puffer is doing very well, its a leapord puffer and hes about an inch long.
I am not sure as to what kind of corals, I need to do some more research. I should have done some before I got my fish but I thought the pet store I got them from could be trusted, guess not. I have since found a LPS that is very honest and is telling me the same thing about the trigger, they do say the leapord can manage though.
