Recreating a pair...?

Bought a Pair of Gold Stripe Maroons. While in QT, the large died and the smaller was suffereing from Brooklynella (sp?).
The small one recovered and while at the Reef Specialty shop, I bought a ROse Anenome and a small Gold Stripe Maroon.
I added the anenome and 2 clowns to the main tank (100 gal). The clowns are about the same size, one slightly larger than the other. They are both picking at each other when one gets to close the anenome ( one seems to have claimed the anenome). Is there any way to soothe the aggression and encouge the pair to bond?

Thanks for the help.

The easiest way to get them to bond is to buy one large aggresive one, and one smaller less aggresive one. The larger becomes the female, the smaller the male. Since they're the same size, that may create a problem.

not usually with maroons, especially when they are close in size. you should return it to the store and exchange for a smaller one and do the separation method.

I'm thinking thats a typo, yes it must be, even if it is sort of fitting for the situation.
