I have had my tank up and running for about 9 months now. It's a 75 with a 20 gallon sump. Anyway, I have gone through all the phases, brown algae, hair algae, back to brown algae and maybe some red slime algae and finally now it seems like it may have all worked its way out of my system.
So, I was working on doing a thorough cleaning of my tank (it's been a good while since I have been working on other projects) and I noticed that I have some new red algae that is leafy, bubbly on my overflow area and behind one of my powerheads and maybe starting to form on some rocks.
First pic is it in the overflow area, second pic is up close of some I pulled out. From looking I think it may be Red Kelp, can anyone verify this? Also, if it is, is the final verdict that I would want to keep it in my tank?
Thanks for the help!
