red algae problems

I am having a hard time controlling the red algae in my tank. I have used chemi-clean and it has helped in the past but doesn't seem to be helping now. I have heard that it can be caused from feeding to much, but i only feed about every other day. Any suggestions?

I had it happen when I went away on vacation. What I was told, and worked great for me is this:
1) Cut feeding down to about every 3 days, just until it goes away.
2) Feed less per feeding
3) Maybe increase water changes till it goes away.(make sure you use RO water)
4) The most important... cut down lighting. I went from 8-10 hours a day down to 4 hours or less. Over a period of about 1 month and a half I worked it back up to 8. I kept it at 4 hours until the algea disappeared however.

Prob. Have high phosphates happened to me real bad but did regular water changes, cut back on lighting and drop some phos-beads (i forget the name) in the sump for 4 days at a time or until exhausted, seem to help)
Completely went away never seen it again, but that was the old tank, starting to get in alittle in my 65g now trying the same thing again!
