I have a spot on one of my rocks, its the size of a silver dollar, dark red and it looks soft. Also on the glass in a few spots down where it is hard to reach with the magnetic cleaner. Also on the intake pipe. Should i try to get rid of it. I have read about cyano... what does it look like?

different people will give you different answers on this one... I had a huge outbreak of red slime, I had done it all, changed lighting times, water changes, ect... it kept getting worse.. I then got slime away, not the cheapest thing, and many people dont like chemicals... but it was all gone in 4 days, and I still have not had any return of it after 3 months...

Look into banded goby AKA sleeper goby AKA dragon goby. This guy knocked out ALL of my slim alage in three days. Most of it was on the sand but now he is picking at the remaining small patches on the rocks. He is amazingly fast. They sift the sand through their gills so you need to have small substrate. Anything large like CC will not alow him to feed and he will starve.
