I have just found a strange red algae growing on my zoos. Is it bad and how do I get rid of it?

Looks like cyanobacteria.
Manualy remove as much as you can and decrease nutrient levels in your system.
Some people use "chemi-clean" its expensive but works within a day or two.
Reef safe as well.

I know the pic is not great but I think it is too "leafy" to be Cyno

Looks like some sort of macro algae. I have some that looks like that in my tank. Don't let it smother your zoos.
