It is like a sheet that comes up all at once. So increasing water flow across the bed would help eliminate it along with water changes? Is there any treatment I could buy that would help as well?
There is some stuff called red X and there are others like chemclean they all take care of it. Be sure to follow instructions to the letter, they can be dangerous to your corals, otherwise they are safe enough.
Some don't like using chemicals as it won't fix the problem that caused it in the first place.
Do this:
Get up as much as you can, use the medicine and do a small water change after, and get some water flow to the area. Be very careful not to overfeed.
