I posted earlier about my Tusk having issues, I also ran across this cool Wrasse.
Just wondering if anyone else has one here?
Thanks,

I've kept one, yes...10"er.
Shouldnt be kept in anything less than a 7' tank, IMO. Needs a deep sand bed and it semi-aggressive to down right mean, depending on the fish.

Ok, I hate this fish!!!
He disappears, reappears, disappears! He has been M.I.A. for three days.
I take out ALL of my rock to find his skinny little butt. I cant even find parts of him.
I even dredge the sand to find him. Nothing!
Checked my overflows.
Checked behind the tank.
Even wondered if my dogs had eat him if he had jumped!!
Get up this morning, There he is!! Swimming like nothings up!! How can a fish that size just disappear?
Sorry for the rant. He is still the most colorful fish I own!!
But If I ever find his hidey hole. Its on!!

You probably should have done ALOT!! more research before you bought this fish.
They're Wrasse...they dig and bury themselves in the sand...yes, they'll do it for days at a time...maybe even a week at a time.
Removing the live rock and digging through the sand for it is very bad...it could injure the fish.
Leave it alone. Let it do what it does. It's not supposed to swim around 24/7.

Oh I know, I just wanted to be positive he was still living.
Thanks for the info though.
Wont be the last mistake I make!!

Hey mihifisi. Nice to see another NC'er on the board. I was wondering how your wrasse was doing.
I plan to get one for my 125 and am still getting some info on them.

He is doing great!! The Wrasse and my Foxface hang out and swim laps together. Very cool fish! But if he is spooked in the least..... Hes gone sand surfing!! Submarine style!!

I am glad to hear it as well. I've gotten rid of some fish that weren't being very active so i'm looking for a colorful replacement.
