Red coris wrasse funny story

My red coris wrasse has this medium size rock that he's been pushing around the tank, flipping it over, leaning it against the glass, until he finally got it in front of my eel's cave. Not really covering the cave, but almost. So last week I pick up the rock and move it on the other side of the tank. A day later it's back in front of the eel cave.
How the heck did that happen? So I move it back to the other end, then the next day I look once in a while and there is the coris wrasse moving and flipping it back to the same spot it was before. This is hilarious because this rock is bigger than the wrasse but he gets his nose under it and flips it over and does this over and over until it's back in the place he thinks it should be.
One of these days I'm gonna take the rock out, see if he freaks out.

How mean

That is pretty funny, he obviously doesn't like the eel

lol, I just took his rock and put it on top of the others. I'm curious if he'll find it when he wakes up tomorrow.

He found it but unfortunately for him, he pushed it the wrong way and it fell behind the other rocks. I don't think there's any way he can get it back in the front. Well, at least the eel's happy not to have a rock in front of his cave.

They're very cool fish, very inquisitive, always poking around looking for stuff and it's keeping my tank really clean. No food gets left on the bottom or between rocks with this fish. Before I got him, my nitrates were around 20, now they're at zero. I don't even have to clean the sides of the tank anymore. Out of all the wrasses I've had, this one is the most interesting.

Sweet, I'm gonna get one. Any possibility his cleaning could scratch arcylic? Only asking cause it seems anything i do scratches it

Nah, he has no interest in the glass/sides. Just looks through the sand and in between rocks.
I'm gonna take some pictures soon. He's changed a lot more since the last set I took, now has some light blue around the face and the markings have moved from the tail, halfway up his body.

Oh and as far as moving the rocks and scratching the sides, your crosshatches are a much bigger danger of doing that. Triggers love to redecorate.

Well I guess I'll be getting some scratches but o well the triggers are worth a few scratches here and there. You gotta look close to see most of them anyways, I just know they are there so it starts to bug me
