Red Emperor Snapper

Anybody have pics of their adult snapper? Mine has grown SOO fast in the few months I've had it, I want to see how large and how they look when full grown.

Ha! I'd say you have many more months/years of growth ahead of you. Fishbase lists their max size as 116cm (yes not a typo, almost 4 feet in length). Should easily reach 2' inan aquarium.

I read they typically get about 36in. WAYY to big for my 125g, so my lfs told me he will buy it back once it gets too big. I just want to see what they look like when they do reach that stage in a home aquarium, unfortunately I cannot find any pics on this site or the web anywhere...

One of the coolest SW fish. Just wish they didn't get soO BiG! Wish they max out and 12" or so so we could keep them. Show us a pic of yours.

Yes, red snapper is indeed tasty

And $10-12/lb. where I live, perhaps I can tank raise and sell em to to local grocer lol

last time i went deepsea fishing the guy next to use caught a 68lb emporer snapper. He was fishing with a 2 foot long ribbon fish. Hard to believe anyone would keep these things life long.
