In terms of aggressiveness, is a red general star the same as a chocolate chip? I want to add one of these to my tank but I'm afraid it will prey on my red knobby star.

It is a 55 gallon with 80 lbs of LR. I already have the knobby star and want to add the general or CC, but they can be spot fed so I don't think the LR is a prob.

i have a red general a cc star and a bahama star all living together,, they never bother each other they actually walk over each other sometimes to get to the other side, but i also have a 300 gallont ank , they do get HUGE esp. bahama and red general's and iw ould say red generals are more aggressive than CC anyday. Also if your posting int he reef tank section that probably means you have a reef tank in which case CC bahama and red generals are NOT reef safe, i keep some shrooms polyps etc. in my tank and when i was upgrading tanks i had all my fish in a 55 gallon holding tank and my three stars in 6 hours(overnight) ate about $150 dollars worth of my corals.
in my 300 gallont ank however they really cant find them since the tank is soo large and evan when they get close i just relocate them

I guess I posted in the reef section out of habit, I also have a 75 gallon reef. I think I will have to pass on the red general and CC for now, I'm afraid it will try to kill my knobby star.
