Red General Starfish eating W/ PICS!!

Here is my Red General Starfish in acclimation and in the tank...There is also pics of him eating a silverside...
EDIT: Sorry...i need to clean my power cord to my Korallia...

omg!! how cool!!! do you just put it in its "mouth"? did you put it under one of its legs?

i actually lift one of his legs and stick the silverside under that leg...as soon as he sences that there is food he moves directly over the food...from there he releases some sort of transparent thing that wraps around the food and he slowly sucks in the food...this takes place over about an hour from start to finish...

I remember my general starfish... what an awesome creature mine just happened to be browns colors. First thing i put in my tank (aside from 2 clowns). I loved him. If I do another fish only tank I'd get another one in a heart beat! Even saved his remains when he passed, he was big.

thanks guys...i really loved this starfish when i first saw it...i was planning on a reef tank for the current tank that he is in but i dont think that i could get rid of him now...he is definatly the topic of conversation when people visit...
