Two of my red leg hermits were alomost all of the way out of their shells and were belly to belly but they were not using their claws to pinch eachother. I thought at first they were fighting but the more I watched them it looked as if they were having ---.They would do this for a while then stop and start back at it in a minute or two. Do they procreate this way? Does anyone know anything about this or have seen this? How do crabs reproduce? I haven't seen this before but I have seen a few odd colored crabs appear out of nowhere (green,pink) amongst my reds and blues.
