Does any one keep Red Ogo in their DT for herbivores to eat? If so are there any side effects I should be aware of?
Thanks

I grow it in my sump as a treat for my tangs. there are no side effects that I know of. trying to grow it in a DT with herbivores is nearly impossible though they will usually eat it far faster than it can grow.

i tried to grow it, and it all died very quickly. are you sure it's red ogo you are growing reefkprz? are you sure it's not Gracilaria Tikvahiae?
i have read in many different places that red ogo (Red Gracillaria parvispora) is very hard, if not impossible, to keep in captivity.

it is gracilaria parvispora, it grows well with low water movement and very HIGH light. I think most sumps are far underlit to support it properly.
