REd/pink worms- ahhh

my friend just called me and said there are redish pink worms all over his tank in the sand.
what are these?
do they hurt?

do they have white spikes? if so brisle worms, beneficial

yeah white like legs almost.. they are good!?!

I once had some worms that resembled bristles, but they were purple with hot pinks ends. They looked straight out of a tackle box.

Are the worms out on the open when the lights are on? Or do they only show up at night? If they are out when the lights are on and they dont seem to be affraid of anything get a pic of them, they could be harmfull.

they are bristleworms....... good for the clean up crew
