Well 2day I took out the white sponge in my fuge and replaced it with some live sand and live rocks...I'm going to see how that works...lol
I hope i can grow pods in there...lol...might buy some 2day and throw them in the fuge...I did notice i had an astrea star on my chaeto...lol
cal,
Do you have any in-progress pics of the fuge you built? I'm planning out a 36g bowfront I just bought and something similar could work well for me! How do you keep the black sponge in place?
TIA,
Justin

DIY AquaClear 70 fuge
Welcome 2 The Boards...
Okay I just bought a bottle of nutramar live captive bred copepods (tigriopus sp.)
I just dumped the whole 8oz or 9oz bottle into my fuge...
Heres some pictures of the bottle, my fuge with everything in it and i placed a white filter pad in between my pump intake and the fuge with the chaeto...
lookin good cal, i love the way you did that, but, im actually considering doing away with the filter pad totally on mine, it might stop your pods from getting back into your tank
ahhhh, nvm, scratch that cal LOL i didnt notice where you had placed the pad LOL yeah, they'll be fine, they'll make it into your tank with no probs whatsoever
