Are you happy with the Red Sea Max, i'm not it's a POS. I hate mine i have proten skimmer problems, power head problems and filter problems. This tank was enginnered wrong.

This is actually my 2nd Red Sea Max. I received the first one from the LFS and it had a huge crack along the bottom glass.
They ordered me a new one and I haven't had any problems yet. Knock on wood!

Thanks Coop! Yeah. I used to have freshwater tank, and I cycled it without fish also. From my experience, it's the fastest method of cycling.

Thanks! It started off kind of smooth... now it looks like tiny strands of brown hair everywhere.

Well I just introduced 5 blue leg hermit crabs today to help control the algae. I'm going to wait a little longer before I add fish... but my first goal is to own a pair of Oscellaris Clowns. Other than that, I haven't really decided yet. It's still up in the air right now.

It looks as though your tank is moving right along. Any problems with the protein skimmer?

No problems with the protein skimmer... although it still hasn't really kicked in yet. I'm gonna give it a few more weeks.

Ahahaha. Funniest conversation ever!

I'm not sure what kind of snail this is... it eats lot of the algae, so whatever.

I call this guy "Dumdum" ...I didn't really want to get him. But once my ammonia was gone, I decided I needed something moving around in my tank. He is definitely going back to the pet store once I get my chiller... if I can get him out of the tank.
I'm going to leave it this way for a few more weeks, at least until I can get my chiller.

Well at least you have conversations with your mom. Everytime I talk to mine she is like thats cool. I will have to come over and look at it some time(in that same I dont care tone she has everytime I talk to her about it). But she will once my tank starts to have coral and stuff in it. Then she will want me to help her get one.

Haha. Yeah everyone seems to be getting along. The damselfish hasn't attacked anyone yet... keeping my fingers crossed.
I tried to catch him but he's a smart little booger. I figured I'd just leave him in there until he causes trouble.

So I ordered a nano mushroom coral pack and I'm not sure what they are. They came as an assortment and they are my first corals. I'm pretty excited. But can anyone help me identify them? Thanks
