red sea test kits

Is it possible for my tank to always have 0 NH3/NH4, 0 NO2, And 0 NO3? Or are the red sea test kits really that bad? I do change about 1 gallon a week which is 10% change but my water tests always seem to come up on zero.

Do you have a really good protien skimmer, (removes waste before it gets to the cycle) a deep sand bed, a fluidized sand bed, or enough algae/plants to have to harvest regularly (all three remove nitrates at the end of the nitrogen cycle)? If so, it's possible. If your kit is old though, it might pay to get a new one, or invest in a more sensitive test.
