I have this red slime algae growing in with my cheato and some on my sponge filter.
It looks like red flake food when wet. But I don’t feed any flake food. What is it? Is it bad?

This is bad, it is a sign of high phosphates, bad water circulation and deteriorating water conditions, Also a major culprit is OVERFEEDING!
Cut Down on feeding maybe 1 every 3days, check water parameters, is it time for a water change? also how long do you keep your main lights on? Do you use RO/DI water? Pass along your water parameters as well for further diagnosis please!

I had some red slime in my fuge at first, came on the LR rubble I added.
Its since gone now.
Just think of it this way, better in the fuge than the display tank.
MiaHeatLvr suggestions will help.
