red slime break out

I have a 55 gallon. With three peppermint shrimp, one scooter blenny(was skinny but now plump and has been in my tank for 3 months). I have 60 pounds of live rock and base. I have Zero phosphates and zero nitrates. but i have a HUGE grow of red slime. I put 3 pieces of lacy rock in my tank. I clean them in a buck and scrubbed and rinsed them good. But ever since then i have red slime like crazy. I don't douce my tank with any extra additives only regular water changes.
I have changed my lights two days ago two all new ones. They were old 2 years old. It has 4 65 watt 21 PC on it, two actintic and two 10,000k.
I also do kalkwasser for my corals open brain and torch. TO keep my ph around 8.3.
It's driving me insane. But my mushrooms are doing much better under the new light. Our more and you can see they are happier.
My skimmer is a seaclone but modified to work well. I cut the collection cup. Added a drain line and put an addition limewood diffuser in the skimmer to super charge it and it pulled lot of dark green crud out every day. and i clean in it every 3 to 4 days.
But today it look like red slime is back. I can clean it off at night and by next night everything has it on it. Tank is almost a year old. thanks

no replies? thought people would have had the same problem once.
More then once actually.
Kill your lights for a few days until the cyano dies off. The adjust lighting duration to things are going good but the cyano does not come back.

I'll kill my lights for 2 days? then. How much actinic and 10,000k would you do? to start out with.
I local here only ran actinics for a few days after lights out to kill of cyano. And he has an awesome sps dominated tank.
I have just trined 1/2 duration then increased or decreased it so I have the most light with no cyano. Some report they can only run metal halide lights for a few hours each day. Others do a monthly lights out as standard procedure.
I'm sure you will find what is best for you. Especially since this started when you changed (and therefore probably increaed) your lights.
