HELP PLEASE-
My tank is a 75 gal. with 260 watts of PC. It is already 6 months old, and im still battling red slime algae. Even when my lights were brand new, I still had cynobacteria. Ive tried everything....pulling it all out, reduce light time, and I've even bought "Red slime remover" which lasted for about 1 month, and it returned again. Can anyone please help me!? It seems like this is a never ending battle that I am loosing! I feel like ive tried everything!
Thanks

Do you use R/O water? Try adding more flow, to you tank, and cut back on the amount of food you put in.

cyano is annoying , really the only thing you can do increase flow on your tanks floor , and let it run its course. get as much as you can out with a turkey baster , but there deff is not a quick remedy to it , trust me i tried everything , o shut my lights off for three days it cleared up but when the lights came back on it was back within a day .... just have to let it run its course , its part of the tank maturing
and 4-6 months is about the time it starts to grow so your right on schedual .... using red slime remover and stuff like that will kill good bacteria and prolong the cyano cycle

okay i scooped it out, and turned on the powerhead. how do you make it so the powerhead hits all the sand, and doesnt just leave a hole sorta thing in one area of the sand?

When I had this problem, I added 2 small powerheads. Icut PVC pipe to lenght, and bought, some big cap, for PVC. I cut the bottom end at a 45 , and glued the caps to them to stop a sand storm. I then put the powerheads on the pipe to give me more flow at the bottom.
