red slime growing on zoanthids...help???

ok well red slime started to accumulate in my tank a couple weeks ago on the bottom of my tank and out of no where it started to grow on my polyps and im not sure how i could get rid of the slime off the zoanthids safely. what could i do to easily rid of the slime on my polyps and on the bottom of my tank???

you need to find and eliminate the source of the food for the cyanobacteria. usually detritus build up.
as for removing the actual slime just siphon it off with a piece of airline. or use a turkey baster to blow it off your zoas then net it out.

What is the TDS (total dissolved solids) of the water you are using? Both top off and salt.
High TDS is one of the leading causes of red slime. Not the only cause by any means, but often. It's also a good starting point to figure out the source.
