Red Slime

So, I know that there have been a lot of threads regarding red slime but I have a unique situation. In October I went to an lfs which happened to be 2 hours away because my lfs closed down. Anyway, I purchased about 30 lbs of live rock. We rushed home to pick it in our tank but when I put one particularly large piece in my tank it appeared to be covered in red slime, at least under neath. I kinda started to worry but it never spread until now. The whole rock is now covered in red slime and it is spreading. I have tried everything but the red slime remover because I want to know the cause but I think that I am going to have to purchase the remover and take care of it all at once. Does anyone have any idea what would have caused this??? I'm at a loss here!
I have a 125g with a 30g sump
Sal 1.026
Temp 76 to 77
Am: 0
Ph: 8.2
Rite and rate: 0
Phos: .5

If it was underneath the rock then it's probably not Red Slime. Can you describe it in detail? Is there any way you can provide a clear picture of the rock? Is the slime easily removed from the rock with a siphon?

So, it looks just like red slime. As soon as we put the rock in our tank the bottom became covered in red slime. You can siphon it off but it is under neath the rock which makes it extremely difficult. I would try to take a picture but I'm not sure how to do that since I can't really lift the rock because it has corals on it. It is just so weird, I don't understand how it became covered in red slime but after I put that rock in it started to spread but very slowly. I can't really turn off my lights because of my corals. I tried moving my lights up but it didn't change anything. I guess I could move them up again. I have 2x250 mh and 3x150 mh. My husband broke a light so I have a pendant there until he fixes it. It should be 3x250 instead.
