does anyone know if the soloman sun polyp and the red sun polyp are one and the same

To tell ya the truth I don't believe I've ever heard of either. I have seen the typical yellowish/orangish sun polyps...and the black sun polyps...but I don't believe I've seen red colored sun polyps.:thinking:

Well these are the names my locals have given them if they are correct i don't no however the polyp is light to dard orange do you think they could be the same it is hard for me to tell they are not opened up all the way but they look good and alive is there any variation other than black

If they are orange in color, then its most likely yellow or orange sun polyps. Do a search for sun polyps and look for threads with pics attached to compare yours to. You do know they are nocturnal and each polyp needs to be fed, which can be a chore. HTH
