Reddish Purple Algae on Sand???

I recently started get a reddish purple algae growing on my sand and it has little air bubbles in it does any body know what it is.:help:

1) Turkey baster removal of what u can
2) Cut down on lighting
3) Reduce phosphates (usual source is over feeding and/or nutrients found in tap water).
4) Use RODI water if ur not already.
5) Water changes more frequently until its under control

Anitbiotic use is good also. WITHOUT ill sideffects. You can get the

[hr]
in powder form. Use a small dose as large doses will kill benificial bacteria also.
