redoing rocks for eels

Hello,
I have a 240 gallon tall 72" x 24" x 31" that i am getting ready to re-do the rock layout and make it more eel freindly. I currently have 2 x snowflakes that are about 24" and a barred eel that is roughly 24". They are all getting pretty thick. Right now they have made tunnels and i am afraid that i am going to have a rock slide. I am wanting to add pvc for tunnels and try to hide it with the live rock. What size would be best to use? And if anyone has any pics of there eel tanks with pvc tunnels that would be very helpful.
Thank you

Honestly eels do what they want to do when making a home. I have PVC pipe in my tank that is about 3 inches in diameter, I believe. The only eel that make it his home is a 2.5 foot Zebra eel. Occansionally my Barred Moray will go in there, but my Snowflake has yet to go in there. They all have made homes or spaces in the tank under the rocks. I believe they feel more comfortable in the actual rock than a pipe, even if it under the sand. Again eels are prone to knocking over rock structures. just make sure that any holes you have are large enough to fit your eels through and you should be ok. With my eels I have made large enough holes for all of them to slither through, which makes them happy and at home.
