RedSea Max vs Current Solana

I am a Beginner (with a capital B, as you can see). I have been presented with the RedSea Max and the Current Solana as two options for a small reef tank. Does anyone here have either? Any comments and comparisons would be great. I'm looked at the online info for both, but of course both companies think their product is the best thing since sliced bread, so I'm looking for some more objective reviews. Thanks

Well Dont Have Either But I Have Heard From Quite A Few People There Is Alot Of Heat Issues With Red Sea. But I Like The Other Tank Because No Frame Looks Nice I Just Dont Like Hqi.i Am In Love With T-5s

i like the current better due to the fact its an open top system.

current all the way my lfs has them in and they are very nice

Does anyone have a RSMax and can give reasons why it would be the better choice? or is everyone pretty much in agreement that the Solana is the way to go?
Also, if anyone out there has a recommendation for a different set up, I would love to hear it as well. I just wouldn't know which componants to buy on my own, so I was looking for an "all-in-one" system.
